Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a limit to how many aircraft I can add?

No. Crosswind allows you to calculate envelopes for an unlimited fleet of aircraft with independent weight configurations.

Can I share my load plans?

Yes. All load plans can be exported as professional PDFs and shared instantly via the native iOS Share Sheet or backed up straight to the Files app.

Are more templates and models coming?

Terms of Use Policy

Effective Date: 05 June 2026

The Pilot in Command (PIC) is legally responsible for the Weight and Balance of the aircraft.

1. Situational Awareness Only
This application is designed as a digital aid for convenience. It is not a certified flight instrument and must not be used as the primary source for certified legal flight release or dispatch workflows.

2. Pilot in Command (PIC) Responsibility
The PIC remains exclusively responsible for safe operation. This includes final validation of weights, structural centers of gravity, and ensuring limits conform safely.

3. Data Verification (POH Overrides App)
All generated metrics must be cross-checked against the official, serialized Pilot’s Operating Handbook (POH) or Airplane Flight Manual (AFM). The POH/AFM always takes absolute precedence.

4. Unit Consistency
It is the user's responsibility to ensure selected configurations match native variables specified in the logbook metrics. Mixing metrics may result in severe calculation errors.

5. Custom Profile Disclaimers
By overriding performance limits, the user assumes operational risk. The developer does not certify custom values as regulatory airworthy data sets.

6. Limitation of Liability
This software is provided "as is". Apple Inc. and the developer assume no regulatory liability for consequences or damages structural anomalies cause during use.

7. Accuracy of Calculated Data
This application offers mathematical utilities including, but not limited to, crosswind component lookups, unit conversions, and center of gravity calculations. These components rely on standard programmatic algorithms and user-provided inputs. Atmospheric anomalies, rounding standards, and data variance mean these values are approximations only. It is the user's explicit legal duty to manually verify all derived numbers against certified mechanical tools and official source materials prior to takeoff.

8. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions and Refunds
All financial transactions, billing inquiries, and subscription management are processed exclusively through the Apple iOS App Store via your Apple ID. The Developer does not collect, store, or manage payment information. Any requests for refunds must be submitted directly to Apple Inc. through their official channels and are subject to Apple’s refund policies. The Developer cannot guarantee or manually issue refunds for purchases made via the App Store.

9. No Guarantee of Continuous Operation
This application is provided "as is" and "as available." The Developer does not warrant that the application will function uninterrupted, error-free, or be compatible with all future iterations of iOS or specific Apple hardware devices. Under no circumstances shall the Developer be held liable for any data loss, calculation failures, device crashes, or operational interruptions occurring immediately prior to or during active flight operations.

10. High-Risk Activity Exclusion
This software is not certified, nor failsafe and is not designed or intended for use in hazardous environments or high-risk activities requiring fail-safe performance—including but not limited to commercial airline dispatch, military operations, or emergency flight conditions where software errors could directly lead to death, personal injury, or severe property damage. Use of this application in such environments is done at the user's sole unmitigated risk.

11. Acceptance of Terms
By clicking "I Agree" or by using this App, you confirm you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of this software immediately. A refund of the full purchase price (unless free of charge) will be provided upon request within 14 days of purchase, managed according to the third-party purchase protocols outlined in Section 8.
